I believe in our inherent wisdom and ability to heal. Working from a place of curiosity, together we can navigate your unique process.
Hi, I’m Emma.
As a therapist and yoga teacher, I understand that by tuning into our bodies, we can uncover our path to internal knowledge and deepen our connection with ourselves and others. I integrate a foundation of mindfulness and encourage the exploration of both the light and dark that inhabit our internal landscapes. Together we will uncover how outdated beliefs may obstruct your personal growth and how, through shifting beliefs, it becomes possible to change behaviors that are no longer serving you.

Whether you are new to therapy or you have been in process for years, there are always new insights to be gained.
My approach is integrated and always tailored to your individual needs. I pull on concepts from CBT, DBT, IFS, psychodynamic therapy, Attachment Theory, and mindfulness. I don't think everything can be linked back to your childhood, but I do believe that sometimes we have to go back in order to move forward. I am direct, curious, and believe in the healing power of humor.

It is incredibly difficult to change your mind with your mind.
Yoga therapy offers an alternative approach to healing in which we invite the body into the room and listen to its signals. Unlike yoga as a form of exercise, yoga therapy is not about pushing yourself to your edge, but rather about seeking out refuge and ease inside yourself. In each session we combine physical postures, breath work, meditation, and relaxation techniques, all while tracking your internal experience. Each session is tailored to your individual goals, and there are no strength or flexibility prerequisites. Yoga therapy can be a stand alone service, but often is most effective when done in addition to talk therapy.

It’s easy to feel like an island when you work in private practice.
I firmly believe that therapists shouldn’t have to go at it alone, and consultation is an excellent way to find support. My approach is direct and curious. I believe that the same wisdom that guided you to become a therapist can guide you in navigating difficult questions. I offer ongoing clinical supervision as well as individual case consultation and often consult with therapists who are looking to expand their skills in treating eating disorders.
