Whether you are new to therapy or you have been in process for years, there are always new insights to be gained.
My approach is integrated and always tailored to your individual needs. I pull on concepts from CBT, DBT, IFS, psychodynamic therapy, Attachment Theory, and mindfulness. I don't think everything can be linked back to your childhood, but I do believe that sometimes we have to go back in order to move forward. I am direct, curious, and believe in the healing power of humor.

It is incredibly difficult to change your mind with your mind.
Yoga therapy offers an alternative approach to healing in which we invite the body into the room and listen to its signals. Unlike yoga as a form of exercise, yoga therapy is not about pushing yourself to your edge, but rather about seeking out refuge and ease inside yourself. In each session we combine physical postures, breath work, meditation, and relaxation techniques, all while tracking your internal experience. Each session is tailored to your individual goals, and there are no strength or flexibility prerequisites. Yoga therapy can be a stand alone service, but often is most effective when done in addition to talk therapy.

It’s easy to feel like an island when you work in private practice.
I firmly believe that therapists shouldn’t have to go at it alone, and consultation is an excellent way to find support. My approach is direct and curious. I believe that the same wisdom that guided you to become a therapist can guide you in navigating difficult questions. I offer ongoing clinical supervision as well as individual case consultation and often consult with therapists who are looking to expand their skills in treating eating disorders.

It is possible to live a life that is not ruled by decisions related to food. It is possible for the tone of your day to be unaffected by the way you view your body or the number on the scale.
It is possible to recover.
Eating disorders can affect all aspects of life, and together, we can unpack what is keeping you stuck in a dysfunctional relationship with food or your body. Eating disorder treatment is both reflective and directive, and often addressing barriers to behavior change is an essential first step.
I specialize in treating Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED, and ARFID. I believe collaborative care is most effective and I often work closely with registered dietitians, psychiatrists, medical doctors, recovery coaches, and energy workers. I work from a Health At Every Size (HAES) frame, and I believe that the choice to pursue recovery is both incredible and radical.
Additionally, I have a special love for working with those supporting a loved one with an eating disorder.

I specialize in supporting clients through the complex terrain of body image issues. I believe that our relationship with our bodies profoundly influences our overall well-being and self-esteem. Through a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, I can help you explore the roots of your body image concerns, challenge societal norms and pressures, and cultivate self-acceptance and appreciation. Together, we work to develop healthier attitudes towards your body, fostering a sense of empowerment and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can heal from past wounds, redefine beauty on your own terms, and embrace a more positive relationship with your body.

Anxiety is a natural response to stress and can be beneficial in some situations, such as alerting us to danger or helping us focus on a task. However, when anxiety becomes excessive, persistent, and interferes with daily activities, it may be a signal you need additional support. I believe in order to heal, it is important to understand the root of anxiety and how fear may be trying to protect you. I also know that having a thorough understanding of what your anxiety is about doesn’t always translate to it disappearing. It is essential to pair intellectual understanding with nervous system down regulation.
I approach both generalized anxiety and panic from a lens of mindfulness. Together we will tease apart what triggers your anxious thoughts and set goals around nervous system regulation and self care.

Depression is complex and multifaceted. It is more than just feeling down or having a bad day; it is a serious condition that can significantly impact daily life and overall well-being. It is also treatable. Therapy offers a space to receive emotional support and to better understand how depression can impact all aspects of how you experience yourself and the world. Together we can help you identify and challenge distorted beliefs, develop coping skills for difficult moments, and shift dysfunctional behavior patterns. It is difficult to not feel hopeless when you’re in the throes of depression, but in reality, that is your depression talking.

Trauma has the power to color and transform the way we see the world and our role in it. Whether it is a single incident or a series of complex experiences, trauma often challenges our sense of safety and ease. Healing from trauma is a deeply personal journey, and with therapy it becomes possible to identify and challenge distorted beliefs that have grown from the root of trauma.
I have extensive experience in treating PTSD and C-PTSD with both traditional psychotherapy and EMDR. Together we can unpack your experiences, and help you foster resilience and a renewed sense of hope.

Change is hard.
Life transitions are significant changes or milestones that can bring about a range of emotions and challenges. These transitions can be planned or unexpected, joyous or stressful, and often require adjustments in various aspects of life. Within every transition exists both opportunity and loss. Whether you're experiencing a major life event or a gradual shift, navigating these transitions with support can help you manage the emotional and psychological impact, ensuring a smoother and more positive adjustment. Therapy creates the space to both celebrate and mourn what has been and what may come next.

Parenthood is not for the faint of heart.
It is simultaneously one of the most fulfilling and challenging experiences life has to offer. Not only can it be physically demanding, it can bring up experiences from our own childhoods that we would rather leave untouched. With support, I believe it is possible to reexamine our own experiences and increase our sense of joy and ease. Whether you are newly postpartum, or navigating the chaos of adolescence, I’m here to help you stay grounded and connected to yourself and your values as you move through the challenges of parenting.
